Week 43 Day 6
Here's the good news--
Sin can separate us from God
but nothing can separate us
from the love and grace of God
Romans is a book about change
a book that can change your life
that can change the way you think
behave
react
If you believe what's written here
it will do wonders for you attitude
for your soul.
When he writes
every road Paul goes down
always returns full circle
back up to the top
where he is praising God
He took us down through that discussion of sin
to bring us back up to this triumphant chapter
There is no condemnation
to those who live in Jesus
and set their minds on the goodness of God
Being children of Abraham is good
but it is nothing compared to
being children of God.
FAITH IS THE VICTORY
Live as though Christ has already defeated sin and death.
Romans 8
1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are
in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but
according to the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in
Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
5Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on
the things of the flesh; those who live according to the Spirit,
the things of the Spirit, 6and this mind is life and peace.
14As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the
children of God. 15You did not receive the spirit of bondage
again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom
we cry out, "Abba, Father." 16The Spirit Himself bears witness
with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children,
then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed
we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
18The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 24We
were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for
why does one still hope for what he sees? 25But if we hope
for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
26The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. We do not know
what we should pray for, but the Spirit makes intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27He who searches the
hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes
intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28All things work together for good to those who love God,
to those who are the called according to His purpose.
31What then shall we say? If God is for us, who can be
against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son, how shall
He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall
bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and
furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of
God, and makes intercession for us.
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness,
or peril, or sword? 37Yet in all these things we are more than
conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 I am persuaded
that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor
powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39shall be able
to separate us from the love of God which is in Jesus our Lord.
