Week 52 Day 6
The vision of John is building
in intensity
and destructiveness
Evil is being subdued and destroyed
by the armies of heaven.
Side by side with the depictions of violence
is the great anticipation
of victory
and the victory celebration
which is going to be a wedding
The bridegroom is the Lamb of God
The bride is described as a great city
of the redeemed
those who on earth believed in Jesus
and were faithful to do
the will of their heavenly Father.
You all come!
Wash your robes in the blood of the Lamb
and come join the bride
Our proud father God is preparing a feast
like you won't believe
and he wants us all to be there
So come.
BEHOLD: A WHITE HORSE
Gains are made but the battle is not over yet.
Revelation 17, 18 & 19
3Then one of the angels carried me into the wilderness. And
I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names
of blasphemy. 4The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet,
and adorned with gold and precious stones, having in her hand
a golden cup full of abominations. 5 On her forehead a name was
written: BABYLON THE GREAT, MOTHER OF HARLOTS.
6The woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and martyrs.
1 I saw another angel, and the earth was bright with his glory.
2He cried mightily, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, and has
become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit.
4Another voice said, "Come out of her, my people, lest you
share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
1A great multitude in heaven said, "Alleluia! Salvation and
glory, honor and power belong to the Lord our God! 2He has
judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth, and avenged
on her the blood of His servants."
6Then a great multitude, as the sound of many mighty waters,
thundered, "Alleluia! The Lord God reigns! 7Let us rejoice, for
the marriage of the Lamb has come, his wife has made herself
ready." 8To her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean
and bright; the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are
called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"
11Now behold, a white horse. The rider was called Faithful
and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12His
eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns.
He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13He
was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called
the Word of God. 14The armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen,
white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15Out of His
mouth goes a sharp sword, with it to strike the nations. He will
rule them with a rod of iron. 16He has on His robe and on His
thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
1An angel came down from heaven, having the key to the
bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2He laid hold of
the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil, and bound him
for a thousand years; 3and cast him into the pit, so that he should
deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished.
But after these things he must be released for a little while.
