Week 47  Day 4

Here's your new wardrobe

Clothe yourself with

Then stand back and see how you look.

You who are my dearly beloved

            I want you to
                        dearly love

                        each other

                        and always remember

                        the example of Jesus.

                              THINGS YOU MUST DO

Off with the old; on with the new.

                                    Colossians 3 & 4

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things

which are above, where Christ is.  2Set your mind on things

above, not on things on the earth.  3For you died, and your

life is hidden with Christ in God.  4When Christ appears,

then you also will appear with Him in glory.

5Put to death:  sexual immorality, uncleanness, passion,

evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.  5Because

of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons

of disobedience, 7in which you once walked when you

lived in them.

8Put off all these:  anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,

filthy language out of your mouth.  9Do not lie to one

another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

10and you have put on the new man who is renewed in the

image of Him who created him.

12Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness,

longsuffering; 13bearing with one another, and forgiving

one another, if anyone has a complaint against another;

even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

14Above all put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

15Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, and be thankful.

16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom,

teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns

and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

17Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the

Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

2Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with

thanksgiving; 3meanwhile pray also for us, that God would
open a door for us to speak the mystery of Christ, for
I am also in chains, 4that I may make it manifest, as
I ought
to speak.

5Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming

the time.  6Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned

with salt, that you may know how to answer each one.

7Tychicus will tell you the news about me.  8 I am sending

him to you 9with Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother.

10Mark greets you (if he comes to you, welcome him).

14Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.

18This salutation by my own hand--Paul.  Remember my

chains.  Grace be with you.  Amen.
