Week 27 Day 3
the forecasters were making their predictions
with computer models nearby
they told the future
two to four inches of snow
and it's going to be bad
real bad
bad
people hurried out for the basics
milk and bread
shovel and salt
then the heavens opened
but not as expected
a few flurries
a little rain and drizzle
sleet too
it was over soon but the ice remained
and the trees were dressed
in their shining outfits
beautiful and magnificent
and they worshiped the Lord in their holy array
extolling the goodness and grace of God
lifting wooden arms in praise
limbs glistening
branches glorying
so the heavens open and the Spirit comes
proclaiming the goodness and grace of God
and our lives
glisten
glory
praise

JOY THAT'S NOISY
Sing and shout because God protects those who love him.
Psalms 91, 98 & 100
1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust."
3Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge,
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand
At your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
8With your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place,
10No evil shall befall you, nor any plague come near your dwelling;
11For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
1Sing to the Lord a new song! He has done marvelous things.
4Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
5Sing to the Lord with the harp and the sound of a psalm,
6With trumpets and horns; shout joyfully before the Lord.
7Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
8Let the rivers clap their hands; the hills be joyful together.
9For He is coming to judge the earth with righteousness.
1Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
2Serve the Lord with gladness; come with singing.
3 It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5The Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
